Demokrat
Theater piece, Folkteatern, Gothenburg, Sweden, 2008.
Scenography and video.

Narrative
The Premier minister is shot and we are following his daugthers loss of trust in the democratic system. The play is debating the possibilities and concepts of different political systems through a narrative plot. In particular a questionable morality of the Scandinavian democracies and welfare systems are being scrutinized.

Space
I wanted to create a scenography which simulated an artificial model of our society and place the actors in a model of a model, as a place for political discussions.
A city model was built of oversized transportation boxes, the vectors of the free global market in which people, goods and ideas are ready to pack, store and move accordingly to the hierarchy of profit.

Video
The video was developed in cooperation with Veronika Bökelman and Herman Böhm.
The screen suspended over the stage was commending the narrative as a kind of hypertext by highlighting detailed elements of squared and linear public architecture as changing frame for the artificial stage as well as distortion of a dense landscape.
